Privacy Policy

How APAS collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

This policy is provided as a general notice and is being finalised by the APAS Management Committee. For specific questions, contact the secretariat.

Who we are

The Ayurvedic Practitioners Association Singapore (APAS) is a society registered with the Registry of Societies, Singapore. This policy explains how we handle personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

What we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect: name, registration/membership details, email, phone, clinic/practice information and qualifications (from membership and clinic applications); the contents of concerns you submit and your contact details (from the concerns form); and account information for the member portal.

How we use it

We use personal data to: maintain the public register of practitioners and clinics; process membership and clinic applications and renewals; administer CPE records; receive and review concerns confidentially; communicate with members and applicants; and operate this website and member portal.

The public register

Practitioner and clinic details shown on the public register (such as name, registration number, status, and — where a member opts in — specialty, clinic and photo) are published so the public can verify standing. Members control their public listing through the member portal.

Disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose it to committee members and authorised personnel for the purposes above, to service providers who host or support this website under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law. Concerns are handled by the Disciplinary Committee; your identity is not shared with the subject of a concern without your consent, except where required by law.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal data, and may withdraw consent for specified uses, subject to legal and contractual limits. To do so, contact the secretariat below.
